Identical twin sisters Christina and Michelle Naughton are a favourite of NZSO Music Director Edo de Waart, so it’s no wonder he’s invited them to perform in his season opening concert with the New Zealand Symphony Orchestra. Famous for their electrifying performances the duo will perform Mozart’s Concerto for Two Pianos this Friday in Wellington before visiting Auckland, Dunedin and Christchurch in the first of de Waart’s Masterworks concerts for 2018, Mozart and Mahler. Clarissa Dunn finds out how the chemistry between identical twins heightens when they play as a piano duo.
