Samoa's Supreme Court is to hear Suitupe Misa's suit against the Ministry for wrongful arrest at Fugalei market in an armed raid two years ago from 24 September.

This comes after the plaintiff's lawyer told the court a judicial settlement with the police has failed.

The arrest followed a raid which included the Commissioner of Police, Fuiavaialili Egon Keil, and which led to a commission of inquiry that found the police raid was unlawful and the plaintiff had been wrongly arrested.

The suit is seeking more than half a million US dollars from police.
