The production company Sunpix has signed a new memorandum of understanding with RNZ Pacific.

The move is seen as an effort to support Pacific media in New Zealand and encourage collaboration to help ensure Pacific stories reach wider and more diverse audiences across multiple platforms.
Sunpix produces the popular television show Tagata Pasifika.
Sunpix CEO Taualeo'o Stephen Stehlin said audience engagement was key and working more closely with RNZ Pacific was a welcome endeavour.
"People have grown up with the show in the same way that people have grown up with Radio NZ and the people in the region have grown up with RNZI or RNZ Pacific," he said.
"They know it and they feel at home with it so what we have here is two trusted media outlets sharing and something I think is a wonderful development."
