1:35 Recycled materials used for chef-grade chopping boards

A collaboration between a sustainable restaurant and a plastics re-cycler is shining a light on the impact of bottom trawling and commercial fishing on our marine ecosystem.

The kingi chopping board is a chef-grade chopping board created using fishing nets and recycled post-consumer packaging.

It was devised by Rui Peng, co-founder and CEO of CRITICAL and Tom Hishon, owner and chef at Kingi.

All profits will go to LegaSea, a non-profit organisation working to restore New Zealand's marine environment to good health.
