KPMG has just released its ninth Agribusiness Agenda which looks at the main issues on the minds of primary sector leaders.

The report authors talk to leaders from every primary sector you can think of from pastoral, to fishing, aquaculture, forestry, wine and horticulture, as well as the support industries like rural supply businesses and banks.

KPMG Global Head of Agribusiness Ian Proudfoot says the past year hasn't played out the way industry leaders thought it would.

Twelve months ago they were outward looking and focused on opportunities in global markets. This year domestic issues like labour, the environment and biosecurity have dominated discussions.
