10:30 Jupiter closest to earth since 1963

Get your binoculars. The fifth planet from the sun - Jupiter - is the closest it's been to earth since 1963. And, Nasa's Dart spacecraft has crashed into an asteroid that was travelling at 22 and a half thousand kilometres an hour - an exercise designed to save humanity from an asteroid strike.

Astronomer Dr Ian Griffin tells Karyn what's going on in the sky.
