More homeless than ever as winter arrives

At Te Puea Marae in early May, Housing Minister Phil Twyford said he hoped to find cosy, dry housing for those who needed it this winter. The government said it'd try to get everyone into a home as it unveiled a pre-Budget $100 million plan to tackle homelessness. As winter looms, Auckland reporter Eva Corlett asked Pam Waugh from the Salvation Army about the demand for housing so far, and what's in store for people facing the cold without a proper roof over their heads.
