Airlines nervous about looming border tax

From Morning Report, 6:43 am on 1 June 2018

The aviation industry says airlines around the world are nervous about the looming border tax in New Zealand, because they may be required to collect it. Australians and Pacific Islanders, as well as New Zealanders, could be exempted from the government's promised tax. The specific details of how the tax will work will be given in the next few weeks. Justin Tighe-Umbers is from the Board of Airlines Representatives, representing 29 airlines that travel to New Zealand. He told RNZ political editor Jane Patterson their systems aren't set up to deal with individual exemptions.
