Te Mata Peak iwi, winery stoush may be over

From Morning Report, 7:57 am on 1 June 2018

A stoush between a Hawke's Bay iwi and a local winery over a track on Te Mata Peak might finally be over. The Craggy Range Winery promised in December to remove a walking and cycling track it made after the local iwi, Ngati Kahungunu, were outraged to find their ancestral landmark had been carved into without its consent. Now the two parties will be working together to build a new track. Ngahiwi Tomoana is the chairman Ngati Kahungunu Iwi Incorporated. He talks to Guyon Espiner.
