Fiji sees highest diabetes-related deaths in the world

Three amputations a day. That's the shocking frequency of operations happening in Fiji's major hospitals at the moment as the result of the country's high rate of diabetes. In fact, the latest latest life expectancy world rankings show Fiji has the highest death rate from diabetes in the world. The Director General of the international development organisation, Pacific Community, Dr Colin Tukuitonga, is on the line.
