Honour brings surprise, tears, pride for Dame Catherine Healy

The former sex worker who helped decriminalise prostitution in New Zealand never had honours in mind as she fought for the rights of others like her. It was a tough and prolonged battle so it is no surprise that Catherine Healy burst into tears when she opened the envelope announcing her Queen's Birthday honour. Dame Catherine talks to Guyon Espiner about the honour, and the issue of sex work and law today. She would like to see overseas sex workers in New Zealand treated the same as other migrant workers.
