New Plymouth rugby uncertain as stadium closes

Taranaki Rugby fans have been left wondering what the future of the sport will be in New Plymouth with the loss of their historic stadium. The Taranaki Stadium Trust announced today Yarrow Stadium is closing indefinitely after geotechnical tests found instability under the West Stand. It means the the stadium will be unavailable as the homebase for the Taranaki Bulls this year. Taranaki Rugby Supporters Club president Grant Hassall told reporter Charlie Dreaver there aren't many suitable options.
