Plastics going straight to landfill as China waste ban bites

An Auckland university is urging staff and students to put some plastics straight into rubbish bins as it is no longer able to find anywhere to recycle them. New Zealand recyclers have been struggling to find new markets to send recycling to since China banned plastic imports at the start of the year. And, as Nita Blake-Persen reports, that means previously recyclable waste is now headed straight to landfill.
