Winston Peters' suing govt 'perfectly proper' - Parker

From Morning Report, 7:14 am on 15 June 2018

The government's top lawyer, Attorney-General David Parker, says Winston Peters' act of suing top public servants and National Party MPs is 'perfectly proper'. Mr Peters is taking the State Services Commissioner and the head of the Ministry for Social Development to court over the leaking of his superannuation over-payment details ahead of last year's general election. He's also suing Paula Bennett and Anne Tolley for abusing the no-suprises policy. David Parker, who is the Crown representative when public servants end up in court, says it's a case for protecting democracy against skulduggery.
