Water the new gold in Otago

Water use and water rights are a hot topic throughout New Zealand, but probably nowhere more so than in the country's driest area - Central Otago. Water is the new gold in the region and there is a mountain of work to bring water allocation in the area in line with the rest of the country, and time is running out.
