Forestry debris: Frustrated Tolaga locals demand govt help

From Morning Report, 7:28 am on 21 June 2018

Frustrated Tolaga Bay locals dealing with massive storm damage are demanding the Government step in after they failed to get any answers last night from forestry owners and the council. More than 100 people turned out for the meeting with plenty of questions but left none the wiser. At least a million tonnes of forestry debris or slash roared down rivers and across farmland earlier this month and residents are worried it's going to happen again.
