'We've lost confidence in Stats NZ' - Nick Smith

From Morning Report, 8:25 am on 11 July 2018

This year's Census has a ten percent hole in it with only 90 percent of New Zealanders filling in the forms. It means officials are having to delay publishing the data by five months while they try to plug the information gaps. The data is used to determine how billions of dollars of government money is spent and National's Nick Smith says the drop in the number of people taking part is a serious problem. He tells Guyon Espiner National has lost confidence in Statistics New Zealand.
