Deep Groove: Bassist Christian McBride

Six-time Grammy-winning jazz bassist Christian McBride is a virtuoso soloist, organizer of many different ensembles, and the artistic director at the New Jersey Performing Arts Center's jazz program, the National Jazz Museum in Harlem, and, the Newport Jazz Festival. Also educator and advocate. He's something of a jazz superhero. He will open the 2018 Wellington Jazz festival with his new quartet Christian McBride's New Jawn on June 6 at The Opera House.
