Tony Ssembatya: 'Rwanda genocide made me think twice about humanity'

Tony Ssembatya is a Ugandan human rights scholar, activist and lawyer. His mother is Ugandan and his father was born in Rwanda. Ssembatya's early childhood was in Rwanda at the time of the 1994 genocide. He is now a lawyer working at UN Women, reviewing countries' constitutions on how well they implement human and gender rights.
