A 37-year-old man charged over the death of a Katikati man in a hunting accident has pleaded guilty.
Gordon Leech, who was 57, died on the Kaimai-Mamaku range near Te Aroha on Easter Monday.
Quentin McCreedy is charged with careless use of a firearm causing death.
Mr Leech was hunting on his own when he was shot by McCreedy, who was hunting with others.
He's appeared in the Hamilton District Court and been remanded on bail for sentencing at the end of next month.
