Teenage boys arrested after Queen St assault

Three teenagers have been arrested after two men were violently assaulted and left unconscious on Auckland's Queen Street.

Three 17-year-old boys have been charged with two counts of injuring with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.

One of the boys also faces a charge of assault with a weapon.

Two of the alleged offenders have appeared in the Auckland District Court, and were remanded on bail.

The third boy will be appearing in the Youth Court.

The early morning attack on 5 May was described by police at the time as completely unprovoked and frightening.

Police said at the time the CCTV footage of the assault was too graphic to release.
