Police say they have seized cash, methamphetamine, cars, and guns in a crackdown on organised crime in Wellington, Porirua and Palmerston North.
Detective Senior Sergeant Hamish Blackburn said during the past two days, officers carried out 24 search warrants in Wellington, Porirua and Palmerston North and arrested 11 people as part of Operation Audi.
The group were part of "a syndicate connected to the Mongrel Mob and allegedly responsible for supplying the class A controlled drug methamphetamine", across the Wellington Region, police said in a statement.
During the operation, officers seized $250,000, five firearms, ammunition, methamphetamine, GBL and cannabis.
"A significant amount of assets" were also seized, Blackburn said, including 18 vehicles, four Harley Davidson motorbikes, a jet-ski and a boatshed.
"The combination of drugs and firearms is always a potentially lethal recipe for harm and continues to be a major concern for Police and the wider community", Blackburn said.
"... We have made a significant dent in this group's supply chain, while holding offenders to account for their actions."
Eight men were arrested and three women women, they were aged from 18 to 53 years.
The charges included possession for supply, offering of class A, B and C controlled drugs, unlawful possession of firearms, perverting the course of justice, money laundering and aggravated burglary.
