Police are searching for a diver missing off the coast of Patea, South Taranaki.
The diver was reported missing from a ship shortly after 1.30pm Sunday.
Police said the search would continue into Sunday evening.
The search would be reviewed on Monday morning, if the diver was not found on Sunday.
Members of the public who had information that could assist with the search were asked to call 105 and reference event number P058052168.
