Police are treating the death of a person found in a car as suspicious.
The body was found after a fire on Irongate Road West, Hastings on 26 March.
A post-mortem examination was completed on Thursday.
Detective inspector Martin James said police were "aware of commentary around the death".
He urged anyone with information to come forward.
"We would especially like to hear from anyone with CCTV or dashcam footage on Irongate Road West and Sunderland Drive, between 4.30pm and 8.30pm on Tuesday 26 March."

James said more information on the case would be provided when it was available.
