NZ First leader Winston Peters has arrived at Parliament but is refusing to say much of anything to the media.
National, ACT and NZ First are starting to prepare for post election talks, in anticipation of the results of special votes before starting substantive negotiations.
Based on the election night numbers, National and ACT would be able to put a government together but with a very slim majority, meaning the door remains open for a potential deal with New Zealand First.
Peters arrived in Wellington early on Wednesday afternoon, but remained steadfastly silent in the face of a series of questions from waiting reporters.
The final result of election 2023 will be announced on the 3rd of November.
