Bugle Stories 5: Shrapnel torn

From Bugle Stories, 10:06 am on 25 April 2015

This shrapnel torn bugle lives at the National Army Museum in Waiouru. It tells us a sad story about a family wondering how their boy is faring on the other side of the world, about death and about the bugle call 'Retreat', often known as 'Sunset'.

Programme 5 is made with assistance from Windsor Jones, the National Army Museum Te Mata Toa and Peter Sledmere.
