An initial report, released early last month, said the cause of death was undetermined due to the affects of embalming.

The initial report outraged Ms Evara's family who had displayed photographs at her funeral showing what appeared to be recent and severe injuries.

The lead police investigator Ulavis Mantu said they had reviewed the final post mortem report and would not comment further until their investigation was complete.

The police have given no indication how much longer they expect the investigation to take.
