Exxon Mobil says it is back to normal production rates at its Papua New Guinea plant after February's massive earthquake.

Operations were suspended following the magnitude 7.5 earthquake in late February affecting Exxon's gas plant at Hides in Hela province.

ExxonMobil PNG says it has restarted its second liquefied natural gas train at Hides and LNG exports have resumed.

One facility at the HIdes plant was restarted earlier this month.

The company expects to reach full capacity in May.

The firm says it's continuing to assist in earthquake recovery efforts which include delivering aid and helping the government rebuild key roads and bridges in Hela and Southern Highlands.
