The Solomon Islands Trade Commissioner and Niue's Justice Secretary are among Pacific Islands Forum observers at the Cook Islands election this week.
The mission is led by Darren Tohovaka who is the Secretary of Justice, Registrar of the High Court and Senior Electoral Officer on Niue.
The forum secretariat said the forum team would observe the pre-polling environment, polling and the counting of votes in Rarotonga and Aitutaki.
They will also engage with senior government officials, private sector representatives, the diplomatic corps and civil society organisations, candidates and political parties to discuss voter registration, polling and other important issues around voting.
The election takes place on Thursday June 14 Cook Islands time.
