Triple road fatality in PNG results in arrest three weeks later

Papua New Guinea police have arrested and charged a woman over a car accident nearly three weeks ago in which three people died.

Police said the woman, Lorrain Kwarara, was driving the car on the last Saturday night in July and was allegedly intoxicated.

They said the vehicle rolled three times, claiming three lives and leaving five others with multiple injuries.

The woman, who is being held in custody, has been charged with negligent driving causing death and dangerous driving causing injuries.
