The minister, Aupito William Sio, said Pacific communities were the youngest and fastest growing in the country and it was imperative that they have a voice.

The Pacific Aotearoa survey is seeking views on health, family commitments and employment opportunities as well as broader issues such as Pacific languages and the place of Pacific culture in mainstream New Zealand.

The minister said the survey was easy to use and "hits all the key challenges Pacific people face and invites them to share their aspirations about the future of Pacific Aotearoa".

The findings will be part of a Pacific Vision for the new generation of Pacific people who call Aotearoa their home.
