Anne Dunn and Premila Kumar are among 11 women candidates put forward by the party's leader Frank Bainimarama this afternoon.

Mr Bainimarama's party, which holds a two thirds majority in parliament at present, is putting forward a full field of candidates for the 51 seat parliament.

The defence minister Ratu Inoke Kubuabola is not on the FijiFirst list, nor is the former assistant minister Lorna Eden who resigned from her ministerial portfolio earlier this month.

The election date is yet to be announced but is due to be held in the next two months.

It will be the second election under a dramatically changed electoral system based on one nationwide constituency and proportional representation.
