Four public schools on Saipan are still providing double sessions more than six months after Super Typhoon Yutu devastated the island and neighboring Tinian.

The double sessions, each morning and afternoon, are expected to last until the end of the school year in June.

The school sessions were doubled because of a lack of classrooms after the destruction wrought by the typhoon last October.

Despite the double sessions, the CNMI Public School System says all students eligible to graduate will do so on time.

The schools still on double sessions include Oleai Elementary School, San Vicente Elementary School, William S. Reyes Elementary School and the Francisco M. Sablan Middle School.
