The International Labour Organisation hopes that so-called "green jobs" will be ceated through results of an agreement it's reached with the Secretariat of the Pacific Regional Environment Programme (SPREP).

The Programme and the ILO signed an agreement to join forces to promote a just transition towards a greener economy through decent work.

ILO's Regional Director for Asia Pacific, Tomoko Nishimoto, told Johnny Blades that the agreement seeks to address inter-linkages between environmental sustainability and climate action on one hand with employment and labour issues.
