Health outreaches underway in Samoa

Funding from the United Nations Population Fund is helping 16 districts in Samoa plan and receive medical treatment based on their particular community needs.

Reproductive health, gender based violence and non communicable diseases are some of the issues under the spotlight as the government encourages districts to lead their own health programmes.

Sherry Atua from the Ministry of Women, Community and Social Development, told Jenny Meyer about the new way of bringing health services to those living in remote areas.
