Fiji has huge potential for agriculture but it needs to modernise its sugar cane farming methods and branch out into other crops.
That's according to an agricultural expert and businessman from India Jatinder Singh Wahan who's just completed two months in the country studying farming methods.
Mr Singh told Sally Round farmers need more incentives and support to improve sugar cane yields as well as vegetable seeds tailor-made for their conditions.
