Short Story Club

On Thursday 26 July we will discuss  Sia Figiel's 'Freelove', which was extracted to work as a short story in the 2017 anthology Black Marks on the White Page, but is actually a part of her new novel Freelove, published last month by Little Island Press, NZ, which is a New Zealand-based community publisher and social enterprise focused on Pasifika works.

He also writes for the music history website Audioculture and today he talks to Jesse about the pivotal points in the evolution of hip hop in Aotearoa.

Alison Green is agony aunt of the workplace. She has an advice column called Ask a Manager for workplace and management issues in New York Magazine, and on her website and podcast.

She hands out advice about everything from working with your best friend to how to alert a co-worker that deodorant is a good thing. 

Her years of workplace wisdom includes how to write a decent cover letter and CV as well as advice on performing well in a job interview.
