Welsh town of Harlech celebrates its steepest street title

From First Up, 5:26 am on 17 July 2019

Yesterday we found out that Baldwin Street in Dunedin has lost its title of the steepest street in the world. After months of deliberations, the Guinness World Records announced it has been knocked off the top spot by Fford Pen Llech in a town called Harlech in North Wales. The street is 330 metres long and apparently has a gradient of 1 to two point six seven, just fractionally steeper than Baldwin Street's gradient ratio of 1 to two point eight six.
