10:18 Russia believe NATO have engaged in war

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov claims NATO are now in a proxy war with Russia. He says the Western arms shipments to Ukraine effectively means NATO is "in essence engaged in war with Russia" and there is "considerable" risk of the conflict going nuclear. The Ukraine reaction is that Minister Lavrov is just trying to "scare the world off supporting Ukraine". Professor Rouben Azizian of Massey University's Defence and Security Centre joins Karyn Hay to discuss this and other developments today.
