A massive overhaul to immigration has been announced with the government introducing a 'fast-track' to residency for some skilled migrants. Also on the way, at the end of July, the sooner-than-expected full reopening of New Zealand's borders. On the business front, it's great news for many -- with critical skills shortages across almost all sectors of the economy. Brett O'Riley, chief executive of the Employers and Manufacturers Association joins us to discuss the implications.

In Rotorua they're getting ready to celebrate the big 50 for the famous Polynesian Spa. The healing waters of the Polynesian Spa reach back further than 50 years of course: the Te Arawa iwi understood the waters' healing properties and used the rich iron oxide mud to treat wounds. As a tourist destination the Polynesian Spa is billed as "New Zealand's original and iconic geothermal bathing experience, with hot mineral waters sourced from two natural springs which feed into 28 hot mineral pools for the ultimate in rest and relaxation.
