Hospitals 'as ready as can be' as nursing strike looms

Twenty-four hours before thousands of nurses walk out of hospitals in the first national strike for almost 30 years, managers say they're as ready as they can be. The Nurses Organisation has rejected the latest district health board pay offer yesterday, saying more money is needed. The Employment Relations Authority has ordered them back into talks, which will continue on Wednesday.
