Body found in Mangere home, homicide investigation launched
The former tenant of a South Auckland state house, where a young woman was found dead at the weekend, says no-one should have been there. A homicide investigation was launched after the discovery of the 17-year-old's body late on Sunday night. Ashley Tonga lived at the Mangere property for the past ten years - she and her mother moved out just last Tuesday. Since they've left, her neighbours say they have seen people going in and out of the empty house. Ms Tonga spoke to RNZ reporter Jessie Chiang on a street in Mangere on Tuesday night. She said that when she went back to pick up mail from the house early Sunday evening, something didn't feel right.
