Northland iwi insist threatened kauri Tane Mahuta in safe hands

Northland iwi are insisting that - for now - there's no need to close the walking tracks in the ancient forest home to Tane Mahuta. Conservationists and scientists are calling for tracks in Northland's Waipoua Forest to be closed to stop the spread of kauri dieback disease. But Te Roroa iwi say closing the tracks isn't as simple as one might think. Anneke Smith reports.
