Goal for more police difficult as hundreds leave job - union

The police association is warning the government's target for hiring more officers is under huge pressure because too many front-line staff are leaving. The attrition rate is just over 500 officers a year and many of them hold senior positions. We'll talk shortly to Kaye Ryan who is a deputy chief executive with the police. First we talk to Police Association president Chris Cahill. He says he is confident police bosses will come to the negotiating table in good faith.
