Property developers join criticism of building quality scheme
Property developers are backing critics of the government's quality assurance scheme for building products saying it's broken and a barrier to cheaper housing. An official review has found the Codemark system doesn't have enough checks to ensure certifying companies are competent and doing a quality job. Matt Paterson of the Property Council told RNZ reporter Phil Pennington developers have been struggling with the scheme for sometime.
