Serious work to fix Horowhenua pollution - Rachel Keedwell

The chairman of the Manawatu-Whanganui Regional Council is so confident in the council's environmental track-record that he would welcome an inquiry by the Environment Minister. Some Horowhenua locals are so concerned with the poor water quality in their region, that they have written to Environment Minister David Parker asking him to install a commissioner onto the Horizons Council to sort the issues out. However some regional councillors are suggesting the idea has some merit. RNZ environment reporter Kate Gudsell spoke to Councillor Rachel Keedwell, who said she personally felt the idea could be a goer.
