Winston Peters talks tobacco tax, Lake Hāwea land access

The government has been urged to take action in a dispute with a US television personality over access to the Hāwea Conservation Park. Matt Lauer, a former anchor of NBC's Today show, bought the lease to Hunter Valley Station on the shores of Lake Hawea for $13 million last year. But he is now being accused of blocking public access through his land to the conservation park. Public access advocates say it's time for the Government to act. Winston Peters is the Acting Prime Minister, he talks to Philippa Tolley about the issue, and the issue of tobacco incise tax and the failing smokefree 2025 goal.
