Kiwifruit industry faces huge worker shortage in coming years

The kiwifruit industry is facing a shortfall of seven-thousand workers as it predicts it will double in value in the next ten years. The industry body, Kiwifruit Growers Incorporated, has released a report which estimates the $2.1 billion industry will generate $4 billion of revenue by 2027. But it is already struggling with seasonal labour shortages just like it did last year.
