Forest and Bird closes reserves in kauri dieback fight
Forest and Bird is closing seven of its reserves immediately, to try to stop the spread of the kauri dieback disease. Chief executive Kevin Hague says while all of the reserves are believed to be disease free he feels they have no choice but to close them in order to protect kauri. He spoke to RNZ reporter Jessie Chiang about why Forest and Bird has taken this step.
