Zimbabwe tense as presidential election results due

From Morning Report, 7:24 am on 3 August 2018

Zimbabwe will know the results of Monday's presidential election just after 8am {NZ time), that's 10pm in Harare. It's not known if all the results will come out in one go but what is certain is the timing is aimed at limiting unrest. Army and police have maintained a strong presence in Zimbabwe's capital all day. On Thursday six people died after clashes between soldiers, police and supporters of the MDC opposition leader Nelson Chamisa. The streets of the capital have been quiet all day after soldiers warned people to go home. The few people who were out on the street called for peace. Susie Ferguson discusses the details with correspondent Columbus Mavhunga in Harare.
